RE: First time Winterizing my class A

Looks like you got it all. Blowing out the lines from the water inlet would have cleared them. I stop at the blow out stage and have never added the pink stuff on the 3 MHs I have owned since 1990. Only add a little pink stuff to the drains and washerdryer now that have one.

RE: Atlantic City Casino/Boardwalk area Parking??

FiveO
No most of the parking is under the convention center. there are a couple of outside lots nearby but no overnight allowed.
As ny3 chevys mentioned have stayed at Blueberry hill@ port Republic in Nov when go to the NJ LOM convention at the convention center. About a 20 min drive into AC if use Jimmy Leeds RD and the rest area on the Parkway to and from.

RE: 50 AMP surge protectors

Wtd40
No you wont need another 30 amp protector the 50 amp one will do the same job only you will have to have a 30 amp adapter for the 50 amp plug.
Also dont try to run everything(2ACs/Micro/hairdryer etc)Sure the more electric minded will tell you why.

RE: Side window awnings

As others have stated not that hard to install yourself. 2 ladders a helper. drill which can turn into the screw driver a level and silicone and you can do it yourself in a day.
Do a seach on RV awnings and can get them cheaper than Camping World. Just make sure to allow enough on each side of the window for the arms. As they really dont weigh much it is no real problem if you dont get all scerws into a beam.

RE: Leveling Jacks Question

In the 3 MHs I have had since 1990 With HWH hydrylec or Atwood electic have always had some "motion" inside after leveling. They are not ment to fully stop all flex built in to larger MH frames but rather to make the coach level.
If on concrete or asphalt the rocking is minimal, if on dirt or grass I have found that putting somthing larger to distribute the weight under the jack legs help and still will adjust the jacks when needed as the jacks "sink in"

RE: generator exhaust

Dino you are right. Air for AC units does not come from the outside, Just like a home AC the air is recerculated from inside the RV. The compressor on the roof uses the air to cool just like the home AC unit. As long as vents are closed and no internal leaks from exhaust fumes no problem. ALSO MAKE SURE TO HAVE A WORKING CO2 DETECTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Stuck Water Check Valve

Had this happen to me last year because of too much water pressure when connected to city water to fill up fresh water tank and didnt use Watts regulator(Stupid Move 1000 on my part). It broke off the little tabs that work the check valve so the spring would not close it when on pump, leak out like yor problem and would be forced back on city water so no water would go in. Needed to replace the inlet connection which was a 20 minute job(the 3 screws holdind it from the outside and then just unscrew it from the connector to the blue tubing)
Hope this helps

Clay L this part dont make any sence and love to see any one do it???
Soap the open awning with this mixture, and then roll it up to soak for five minutes while you apply the mixture to the bottom of the awning.

RE: Dogs and water

Forgot to mention Point Lookout SP in Maryland in 1st post. Right before head south on "causeway" from campground is a Dog beach in the Chesepeke Bay, Enjoyed it more than the designated swiming beach as pretty much had it to ourself.

RE: camping / racing

For Charlotte try link stayed there last time DIRT Mods ran, right outside the dirt track pits.
Super Dirt week call DIRT office and you might still be able to get reserved camping @ Belle Isle which is full hookup right outside turns 3 and 4 and were a few empty spots last year.
If going to New Egypt in NJ they allow boondocking. Also Williams Grove and Hagerstown.
Otherwise best to call the track and ask!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: NASCAR Dover, DE 6/08

Have been going to Dover since 1990. Without reservations you will be camping in general lot 10 on other side of Rt 1 about 1.5 miles from track. They run shuttle busses all weekend to and from the track. Not to bad going but we have found it quicker to walk back after the race. All camping lots are grassy fields that can turn into a muddy mess if get alot of rain. there are dump stations and fresh water available at the front of lot 10 by the road. They have people driving threw the lot for pump outs, fresh water and ice also if needed. On Rt 13 are any type of store you can think of for any need.
It can get loud with the usual drunk azzes at times but has been not too bad the last few years as the State police cruise the lots. Our group of 5 RVs with about 20 people ranging from 4- 60 yrs dont get there till Thursday evening so we end up in the back "40" of the lot. The driver merchandise trailers are all located outside of turns 3 and 4.
If you have any other questions fell free to PM and hope you enjoy the weekend.... Maybe we will run in to each other.

RE: surge guard

Think that they are saying that you have to watch what you use when stepping down. IE 30 amp 1 AC unit and some other big draw applience.
20 or 15 amp sevice is not recommended as not an electrical expert wouldnt this draw more amps and cause the wires to get hot and fry the internal stuff in the Surge Guard????
